About Bristec

Started in 1987 in the South side of Bristol (Bishopswoth) Bristec was a leading supplier of TEC cash Registers, gaining contracts with all the major local authorities and blue chip Companies throughout the West Country and wales.

Point 1989Bristec gets awarded Toshiba TEC partner status.
Point 1992We were the first to link scales to Cash registers and install scanning systems into fruit shops. Customer placed the item onto the scale and push the picture of the fruit or veg this would produce a label to place on the bag ready to be scanned. We believe this to be the one of the first customer self-serve systems.
Point 1999We had outgrown the Bishopswoth premises we made the big move to our purpose built offices and warehouse in Ram Hill Coalpit Heath.
Point 1999Bristec gets awarded ICL partner status.
Point 2000Bristec realised there was a demand for a reliable touch screen epos software. Armed with a wealth of experience working with hospitality and retail systems we went to work on Touchpro. One year on, we released our first version of Touchpro using Toshiba ST60 terminal, this was installed in to a floating Bar/Club in Bristol.

Touchpro has been developed over 16 years and still remains cutting edge, We're confident Touchpro is so proven and reliable we have installed system on the island of St Helena that over ???? Miles away.

We now work with many different manufactures including IBM, NCR, and VERIFONE developing our software.
